Logan Good's performance wasn't enough for the Techmen on Thursday afternoon at Gabriel Park. Lincoln started off hot with a 3 spot in the first but failed to score after the first. Benson couldn't get the bats going until the 6th when Michael Meza hit a 2 run single with two outs. Benson's last chance looked hopefully when Brandon Berkey was hit by a pitch in the top of the 7th. Marc Kemp laid down a predictable bunt moving Berkey to 2nd base with 1 out. Good steps in and struck out. Alex Redden walked giving Danny Redden an opportunity. Danny fell behind 1-2 and popped up to the third basemen ending the Techmen's rally.Final: Lincoln 3 Benson 2.

Alumni Life Flight to Victory in 1st Alumni Game

Rain didn't stop the first Annual Benson Alumni Game. The game took place in the big gym and instead of real baseballs, life flight balls were used. This added a spin to the game but the alumni were up for the challenge. After many ups and downs throughout the game, including a Hawaiian BBQ intermission, Benson Alumni beat the Benson Varsity 8-6 in the 30th inning. The Alumni assembled players from the class of 2008 all the way back to 1999. Thanks to all the Alumni for the donations, we hope to see you out there next year.
